We are so excited about this year's theme:
“Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day” (D&C 4:2).
What does it mean to Embark?
When we "embark" it means we go aboard a ship or aircraft, or it means we begin a course of action, especially one that is important or demanding.It implies a commitment to the voyage--turning around on a plane or ship is not easy.
It implies risk--we leave the comfort of our safe home and put our trust in our vessel, our captain, and the natural elements.
When we embark in the service of God, we are committed to His work, whether it seems easy or not. We are willing to leave our comfort zone and trust in His power to help us complete His will.
It is an exciting journey! One that will open our eyes, expand our horizons, teach us to see the world differently, and strengthen our love for our Savior.
So let's embark in the service of God together, and serve Him with our heart, might, mind and strength.
